Session Details

Morning – 9:30 AM to 12:00 PM (with Nick) – ages 5-8

Minecraft Commands with Bamboo Farms

In this fun and engaging session, young learners will dive into the world of Minecraft coding by building redstone machines to automatically harvest bamboo. Using Minecraft’s powerful redstone mechanics, students will learn how to connect observers, redstone, and pistons to create a fully functioning automated farm. They will also explore Minecraft commands such as /fill and /clone to expand their farms and increase efficiency, all while getting instant, visible feedback for each line of code they write.

With hands-on activities and plenty of opportunities for creativity, this class provides a fantastic introduction to both coding and problem-solving in a way that’s fun, interactive, and tailored for young minds. By the end of the session, students will have a clear understanding of how redstone works and how to use commands to enhance their Minecraft creations.

Afternoon – 12:30pm to 3:00pm (with Nick) – ages 9-12

Making Coral Tools with Minecraft Datapacks

In this exciting session, students will dive into Minecraft datapacks to learn how to customize items and recipes within the game. They’ll gain hands-on experience building their own datapacks to create unique coral tools, giving them the power to add their own ideas and features to Minecraft. Through step-by-step guidance, students will explore how to modify game mechanics, creating custom tools and expanding the possibilities of their Minecraft world. By the end of the class, students will have built their own custom items and imported them into the game, giving them a deeper understanding of how datapacks work to personalize and enhance the Minecraft experience.
